Frank Ruijgrok

F. RuijgrokAfter I completed my study at the HEAO - specializing in Business Economics - I started my career with KPMG auditors. After being an auditor for a good six years, doing the job in a variety of companies ranging from Stock Exchange quoted to medium sized, I decided it was time for a career change.
In 1988 I moved to the KPMG division which consulted companies in the "middle market" segment. In KPMG terms this meant: up to 200 employees and most of the time the general manager was also major shareholder. My consults ranged from preparing business plans, proposals for additional finance, executing due diligence research to supporting acquisitions or sales of companies. During that time I became more and more specialized in the process of acquisitions and sales. The next logical career move was KPMG Corporate Finance.

After my 13 years with KPMG I worked for 1,5 years, as a controller, for a building society.
Mergers and take-overs however remained my main interest. When I worked as a controller I kept in touch with Balthazar den Breems, my former colleague from KPMG Corporate Finance. The next logical step was to move to DB&S. Finally I am doing the things I like to do: pragmatic consultancy for entrepreneurs. Just great!
