After my study Social Science in Business some colleagues and I started an independent research and consulting agency. It was my first step as an independent entrepreneur and consultant. I did quite a lot of assignments for municipalities, building societies, counties and government.
In 1988 I moved to BDO Auditors and Consultants. There I became acquainted with the HRM, education and training discipline. In 1995 I became partner of a very successful consulting branch of the BDO Group. Supporting family businesses in for example matters of succession was one of the expertises I developed. In 1998 I moved to KPMG as a partner with a special assignment: create a consulting branch in the Rotterdam area for regional medium sized companies. Within a time span of four years we created a consultancy with 17 employees. We specialized in succession (valuation, acquisition and sale) as well as financial and HR consulting.
October 1st 2005 my next career movement was "back to basics".
Back to close client relationship, more entrepreneur and working in a small team of enthusiast colleagues. And of course, assignments to be completed from A to Z in the MB market segment. Broad scope, management, finance and human resources. Great!!"
After three great years I sold my shares to the other partners on October 1st 2008 and became a freelance consultant committed to DB&S.
